Marcos Pueyrredon developed his professional career in multinational companies in the areas of planning and marketing, where his responsibilities included implementing e-business policies. He is a prominent entrepreneur in the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) industry in Ibero-America and a recognized leader in the region’s Digital Economy.
He holds degrees in Business Administration and Marketing, a Postgraduate degree in eBusiness Management, and a specialization in Electronic Business Management from Universidad del Salvador (USAL), with dual certification from Georgetown University. Additionally, he earned a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Digital Project Management from USAL and The State University of New York (SUNY).
In the private sector, he is a Partner and Global Executive SVP at VTEX. Founded in 1999, VTEX is a leader in eCommerce technology and a pioneer in second-generation Software as a Service (SaaS), featuring over 100 public APIs and 100% multi-tenant cloud infrastructure. VTEX serves more than 3,000 clients across 28 countries, with offices in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Santiago, Bogotá, Medellín, Lima, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Madrid, London, Milan, Berlin, Bucharest, New York, and Miami. The company offers solutions for online stores of all sizes and industries, establishing itself as the leading digital commerce technology provider in the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking world.
He has served twice as President and three times as Treasurer of the Argentine Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CACE). Currently, he is a member of its Board of Directors and Executive Committee as Honorary President. He is also the founder, Director, and current President of the Latin American Institute of Electronic Commerce – eCommerce Institute.
In academia, he serves as Director of the Master’s program in Strategic Digital Marketing and Internet Business Management at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), a Professor in the MBA program at UBA, Director of the Specialization in Online Mass Markets at CAECE University, and Director of the Executive Program in Retail eCommerce at CAECE University.
He is a guest lecturer on eCommerce and Internet business topics in various national and international specializations, postgraduate, and master’s programs. He is also frequently invited as a speaker, panelist, or moderator at major industry events, thanks to his extensive experience, expertise, and knowledge in Digital Economy, eCommerce, Internet Business, and applied Business Models across Ibero-America.
