Rachel is a Tech Entrepreneur with over 17 years of experience and expertise in driving Digital and Financial Inclusion in Africa and other Emerging Markets managing a P&L of over $200,000,000.00. She is a renowned expert in the areas of Technology, E-commerce, Fintech, Retail and MSMEs.

Rachel is an Early Stage Startup Builder & Angel Investor and a Policy Champion in matters Technology, innovation and MSMEs.

She is involved in a number of initiatives within the Tech ecosystem: Jack Ma’s Africa’s Business Heroes Prize Competition, Presidential Digital Talent Programme (KE), African Customs Policy Network among others.

Rachel is the Co-Founder and CEO for Biashara Africa, a community of Women and Youth Owned Small Businesses that champions digital and financial inclusion with an aim of creating sustainable livelihoods and employment in Africa and Founder, Fibroids Center, a Women Healthtech – inspired by her experience.

She is a Board Member and Policy Advisor for Association of Startup and SMEs Enablers of Kenya (ASSEK). She has previously served as a Board of Director & ICT Committee Chair for the Commonwealth Businesswomen’s Network C.I.C
