Daniel is a people leader and an expert in international remittances and structured trade finance with industry experiences of close to 2 decades. He has worked in a pan-African bank, a trade finance company and has also founded two tech companies before. He has deep experiences in cross-border payments operations and management of peer-to-peer (P2P), person-to-business(P2B), business-to-business(B2B), and business-to-person(B2P) use cases for T+2, T+1, real-time and near real-time remittance rails in Eastern Africa. He is also experienced in structured trade finance for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) including non-collateral based lending to SMEs, venture capital services, fundraising in pre-seed, seed and growth capital, business plan writing and has had stints in entrepreneurship. Today, Daniel looks after Mastercard’s remittances network in Eastern Africa.
